About Deanna Camacho N.P. – Credentials
After completing her Air Force Medical Technician Certification and Medical Technician Training in 1999, Deanna Camacho served as a Medical Technician and EMT-B in the United States Air Force. She gained valuable experience that, to this day, continues to guide her work ethic and fuel her passion for medicine.
Along with performing emergency nursing care, her service involved working with individual patients in the Internal Medicine Unit, Family Practice Clinic, and Pediatric Unit. During her time with the U.S. Air Force, she was recognized as an Honor Graduate and received the John Levitow Award in acknowledgment of her leadership promise.
After her time serving in the military, Deanna studied at West Texas A&M University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008. With the enthusiasm to further build on her knowledge and skill, Deanna was admitted into the Masters of Science in Nursing program at Texas Women’s University, where she was honored as a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the international nursing honor society for graduate students.
Her 4 years as a Nurse Practitioner and more than 18 years of medical experience have involved her contributions in numerous settings, including her work as a Registered Nurse in a VA Medical Center and a Post Anesthesia Care Unit, as well as her service as a Nurse Practitioner in a Family Medicine Clinic and an Internal Medicine clinic.
As a bilingual nurse practitioner, Deanna brings an abundance of knowledge, passion, and enthusiasm to our team at New You Wellness Center. As she commits herself to guiding each patient on their path to wellness, Deanna shares her warmth, skill, expertise, and commitment to treating the whole patient as she supports each individual throughout the preparation and recovery processes.
As she works alongside Dr. Goffi to create and administer individualized treatment plans, Deanna’s experience and dedication to each patient make the difference when helping each individual achieve their wellness goals. Along with assessing the whole patient, she commits herself to provide the resources and information that will support them along their journey with New You. Along with the rest of the NYWC team, Deanna commits herself to provide each patient that walks through the door with an experience that goes above and beyond the common practice.
