Due to circumstances around COVID-19 and the need to protect our patients, our staff, and to ensure continuity of the medical treatments that we provide at NYWC we wanted to share with you some new treatment and communication options that will be available immediately.
With the goal of minimizing or avoiding altogether unnecessary waiting time in a community lobby setting, we are now making the following changes:
Existing hormone patients
A. Medication pickups: When picking up medications, please call our office so that a representative can come out to you and bring it to your vehicle.
B. Lab testing will be postponed for a period of 45 days if the provider finds you stable and deems that there is no need for adjusting the dose outside of your normal standards. This will not interrupt your ability to receive your ongoing medications.
C. In addition to on-site appointments, follow up consultations will now be available via telephone and soon, with videoconferencing. Call our office if you need to schedule a consultation.
Existing Weight Loss Patients
A. Body fat scans will continue to be available as long as screening for COVID-19 symptoms is completed before.
B. Follow up appointments will be offered over the phone by appointment, with a video conference option to be implemented as soon as possible.
C. When picking up medications, please call our office so that a representative can come out to you and bring it to your vehicle.
Other Wellness Services
Other wellness services such as the Immune Boosting Myer’s Cocktails, B-12 shots, and IV Fluid Drips will continue to be available for patients, provided COVID-19 symptom screening is completed.
